Who Won't Be In Marvel vs. Capcom 3

Trying to figure out who will be in Capcom's upcoming Marvel vs. Capcom 3: Fate of Two Worlds is a guessing game at this point. At E3 we were able to determine that neither Loki nor the Punisher made the cut, but that still leaves thousands of possible characters to choose from. We decided it was time to narrow down the list a bit.

Considering that Capcom recently revealed Marvel's demonic lord Dormammu would be in the game, a savvy comic reader might assume that Dr. Strange would also be making an appearance in the game, especially since Strange is one of the few Marvel characters who I can actually remember having fought Dormammu. But you know what they say about assuming.

When we asked Marvel vs. Capcom 3's producer Ryota Niitsuma about this in a recent interview, he said, "It's a tricky question to answer because everyone always asks if their favorite character will be in the game, but half of the characters haven't been revealed yet, so we don't want to spoil anything. But I will say that Dr. Strange won't be in the game."

Later on we came back to the subject of characters, and we tried to trick Niitsuma into letting something else slip by asking him if Marvel had rejected any of Capcom's character suggestions. Niitsuma wouldn't say anything, but he put his finger to his lips, and then made a visor motion across his eyes before drawing an X across his chest. We don't speak sign language, be we assume that Niitsuma was telling us to look closely into our hearts for the answer.

We just crossed a few names off our giant list of thousands of possible characters. We're going to narrow the field down eventually. Capcom can't keep this a secret for long.

    No Dr. Strange that's Strange I hope Akuma,Kitty Pryde,Nightcrawler,Sabertooth,and Alber Wesker are in.

    Nightcrawler would be awesome! ... but I think Saber tooth would be more likely.

    I'd love to see the Battle Network version of Mega Man. Though I think most would prefer a more retro approach...

    They really ought to have replaced chun-li. She is such a boring character, there's a perfectly good green flashy brazilian monster that would be perfect, but no, they want the asian cop doing boring old martial arts.

    Considering Doctor Doom has been in a lot of these game but not any member of the Fantastic Four I doubt Dr Strange has to be in it, besides Hulk and Submariner have had a clash with Dormammu in the past as part of Defender's i doubt they need him to justify Dormammu's presence. 'Nuff said.

    So Dormammu gets in but Doctor strange does not?! And I assume that meant no Cyclops. Meh. No Punisher sucks but I guess he would play too similar to Chris. Although, that did not stop them from wasting a slot on Trish.

    I dont know who won't be in game, but my wish is to see Vergil, Samanosuke and Blade like playable characters and the game is PERFECT !!!

    this the only game that I would buy half made and then expect regular updates till its a finished product and then more!  

    imagine this game with LBP download content available!   that would be sweet!
