Killzone Developer Guerilla Games Working On New IP
With the success of Killzone 2 and the swelling enthusiasm for third installment, Sony has commissioned Guerrilla Games to move ahead with a new PlayStation exclusive.
During his GDC Europe keynote presentation, managing director Herman Hulst spilled the beans on the new project, saying the team has started conceptualizing a new project unrelated to Killzone that will broaden the studio's abilities to make "any game we want to make." No further details were given, but Hulst says he hopes the project brings back the "level of scope and ambition" of their startup years. To man the project, Guerrilla Games is building a new studio and hiring new talent.
