New Screenshots From Cthulhu Saves The World

A new glimpse of the upcoming old-school RPG comes along with an updated release date.

Xbox Live Indie now plays host to all sorts of exciting game properties, but we’re especially fascinated with the upcoming Cthulhu Saves the World, a humorous throwback RPG from the same studio that brought us Breath of Death VII: The Beginning (also on Xbox Live Indie).

Cthulhu Saves the World tells the story of the Lovecraftian cosmic entity who has his power locked away by a group of heroes, preventing him from devouring the world in madness and terror. To remedy the situation, he’s forced to join forces with a ragtag group of heroes to save the world from a different threat. In short, this story sounds amazing.

The game was originally targeted for downloadable release sometime in August, but Zeboyd Games told us this morning that the game will be moving into September. They quoted Miyamoto, who once said: “A delayed game is eventually great. A rushed game is bad forever!”

While we wait for the game’s release, check out this new batch of screens. And read more about the game right here.
