Batman: Arkham City Art Time Lapse Video

Rocksteady concept artist Kan Muftic transforms a dark blob into Batman in just over two minutes.

Most of us could never fathom how to start a digital painting of Batman that looks as awesome as the one above. The sped up video below shows how a skilled artist handles the process from start to finish.

  • Can't wait! This  game is going to be epic!

  • I wonder what program he was using
  • Mm, Cintiq.

  • Please tell me this will be availiable as a wallpaper or t-shirt.

  • Wow to much detailing this guy put in. Like I think this thing is sped up from like an hour or something and you can barely tell the difference from one second, most of the time. It obvious that he put a lot of detail to show batman's muscle, but it just a little to much I have to say because look at him! He's extremely ripped and extremely huge! He so big that it starting to seem like the venom from last game still effecting him. I think the new style of batman is cool, but if you expect me to think that Batman is sitting on 200-100 year old gargoyle statues all around arkham asylum and the bad neighborhood arkham city takes place in then you are very well mistakin.

  • Its gonna be one of the best games of the year, just watch it be in an issue of GameInformer as one of the best

  • Enjoyed Arkham Asylum, can't wait for Arkham City.

  • That was dope and interesting to witness the subtle changes that seem so insignificant yet appropriate.

  • Wish I could do that, lol.

  • cool

  • Amazing

  • thats actually my dream job, but im not really into doing digitally, but it has its pros to erase mistakes easily but the whole concept of not having it physical baffles me.

  • Epic.

I honestly can't think of any other word to describe this with.

  • wow that was really cool but it looks lighter in the picture than the final stage. that detail was amazing. wonder how long it took the guy to do that

  • "in just over two minutes"
    Umm... no?

"wonder how long it took the guy to do that"
well, according to the article "in just over two minutes"
  • wow.

  • his skills are are epic

  • once i get a job i'll be saving for a Cintiq asap. i love how that machine works!

  • That was... delicious. That is the only word I can think of to describe the video. I hope to be like that guy one day.

  • Nice, being an artist is a real gift. Arkham City is going to be a great game.
