Rage Will Release On iPhone/iPad First
Today at QuakeCon 2010 in Dallas, John Carmack announced Rage for iPad/iPhone. The id co-founder showed off a tech demo to assure attendees that graphics on Apple's devices are no joke. It may just be a tech demo at this point, but it’s looking very nice as of right now, especially for a mobile game. Work started on the brand new title about a month ago
It will be the first Rage title released, with a smaller scope than the console versions (obviously). When the console version does finally hit 360, PS3 and PC in 2011, more Rage iPad/iPhone games will release alongside.
id looked at Android, but are not preparing for this cycle. They’ll give the Google operating system another look in about six months.
