The lights are on
After a back-and-forth with his King of Kong rival Steve Wiebe and newcomer Hank Chien, everyone's favorite hot sauce-shilling, USA tie-wearing, world class a-hole arcade champion is back on top of the Donkey Kong leaderboards. At Boomers-Grand Prix Arcade in Florida, he surpassed Chien's 1,061,700 score to set the new mark at 1,062,800.
In typically ****ish confident fashion, Mitchell quit the game immediately after passing Chien's score. When asked about it, he responded "Some say I'm being cocky. Some say I'm being lazy. I say I'm being Billy Mitchell."
During the same event, Mitchell also set a new Donkey Kong, Jr. world record with his score of 1,270,900.

I'm surprised the score would count if he would quit in the middle like that.

Man I wonder how he goes a day without getting sucker punched by some gamer. After watching King of Kong a few years back I wanted to seriously take the short drive from where I am in Florida, to where he is in Florida, and just kick the guy in the balls for being such an a-hole.

We may not like the guy for a number of reasons, but you can't deny that he continues to beat the scores from his challengers time and time again.
He might be a total dingus, but that dingus is the Donkey Kong Champion, once again.

I know why he quit! This way the score is easily passable by another DK expert to keep the feud going and keep him in some sort of spotlight. Grow up Billy boy, if your going to be the best at something act like it.
This guy is such a pompous turd, and for no good reason either. Who cares if he has the highest score on Donkey Kong? Maybe if accomplishes something real, he might have a reason to be cocky. Until then, he needs to be set on fire.

I might be okay with him being just a bit of arrogant. Plenty of people are like that. But quitting just after you beat the score? That's just a jerk move.
Even though he's arogant, and deserves to be punched...by donkey kong himself. I do think he'd have an awesome mullet.

What?! I wouldn't mind this guy being back on top if he wasn't so rude and acted like "I'm the Donkey Kong Champ so anything I say is like if God said it himself" type of attitude.
Well hopefully his score will be short lived because I know Steve Wiebe will win again or the other guy.
