Uncharted Movie Pushed Back, David O. Russell Not Involved

by Phil Kollar on Aug 04, 2010 at 10:05 AM

The Uncharted games are easily among the most cinematic action titles ever released, so a film adaptation seems like a no-brainer. Sadly, though, fans waiting to see leading man Nathan Drake translated to the big screen will need to wait a little longer.

The L.A. Times reports that talks between Sony and director David O. Russell have broken down. The studio is looking for a new director and may even look for male and female lead actors before they find the director.

The article also notes that Sony was considering fast-tracking the movie for a summer 2011 release, but this latest snag makes that impossible.

Since we'll be waiting a while for this movie to happen, why don't we spend some time speculating? What would you like to see in the eventual Uncharted film?
