Favre In Madden NFL 11 For Now
Nobody knows what Brett Favre is going to do, but one thing that is certain is that Madden NFL 11 is ready on all fronts.
Yesterday the "Will He Or Won't He?" rumor mill started up again, and although we won't know for sure if Brett's going to retire (c'mon, you know he's going to drag this out), Madden NFL 11 is flexible enough to accommodate the drama queen's wishes. Favre is currently on the game's roster, but should he retire in real life, EA would simply erase him out of the game via a roster update. Of course, he wouldn't really be gone from the game's code, so if you still wanted to play with him in the game, you'd have to restore the default rosters or not download the update. The problem with not downloading the update, however, is that you then couldn't play online.
Madden NFL 11 comes out next week, but don't expect a decision from Favre before then.
