Uncharted 2 Software Update Is Now Live

Known as Update 1.09, the Uncharted 2 software update includes a number of fixes including exploit prevention, elimination of "super throw," and tweaks in cash awards.

Check out the full list of features below:

Changes made to multiplayer character skin system to allow for voices to be included with future skins
Made changes to character game mechanics to prevent players from using exploits
Fixed ability for players to “super throw” the treasure in Plunder matches
Cash awarded per kill in Elimination has been increased to $750 per kill
Enabled the ability for Naughty Dog to easily alter the amount of cash earned for individual Medals on a playlist or gametype basis and per-kill

Because of the previously listed changes, Naughty Dog will issue a LiveData update that will rescale Medal cash awards in Objective games only. For Objective mode matches, cash for individual and kill-based medals has decreased, and cash for Objective-based medals have been increased. Check out the digits here:

Captured – $4,000
That’s Embarrassing – $10,000
Protectorate – $2,000
No Cigar – $2,000
Drop It – $1,000
None Shall Pass – $5,000
Expansionist – $5,000

i'm upset that it is still $59.99 new. i, however, have jumped to ebay and am currently winning a bid for a "Like New" copy of Uncharted 2. hope i win!

reason i have yet to buy was because i borrowed it from my cousin last year so i beat it already. i now want to play the multiplayer SO BAD, since (in the beta) i was level 57. good times...

I don't play Uncharted for the multiplayer but I am glad to see Naughty Dogs continuation of support throughout its October 2009 release. Very nice work Naughty Dog.

Now, when can we see an HD remake of the Crash Bandicoot series?

Sweet. I love the multiplayer but I always had issues with how cash was distributed. Capturing the treasure in co-op was the worst way to make money so the guy carrying the treasure felt like he was the one who drew the shortest straw.

I love how Naughty Dog is still supporting its community, although the last time I played it took FOREVER to find an objective match on the DLC maps. Literally. I can ONLY play deathmatch and siege on the new maps and nothing else through matchmaking. I hope this is also fixed.

Uncharted 2 is the closest thing to tournament grade competitive play from a console third person shooter that I've ever played, love it. And please don't mention Gears..
