More Games From Capcom

by Matthew Kato on Jul 28, 2010 at 06:30 AM

The company wants to increase its output of games, and we're not talking about throw-away titles. Capcom says it wants more major releases per year.

A report by Nikkei in Japan says the company wants to increase the number of big-name games it puts out every year from two to three or four. In fact, it's easy to see the back-to-back announcements of Street Fighter X Tekken and Street Fighter III: Third Strike Online Edition as a possible manifestation of this new policy. To help it meet this higher goal, Capcom says it's going to outsource more work to Western developers. Previously, the company has said it wants Western developers to take over existing franchises.

What major Capcom titles would you like to see in the coming years? Or is this mandate of increased output going to water-down Capcom's quality?
