This week BioShock's Cult of Rapture community site listed details regarding the next BioShock 2 patch that will be available on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 on August 3. The PC patch is still in the works.

Here are the full patch notes:

360

Signing out of active gamer profile, then back in, then accepting an invite no longer results in a crash/hang
Rebirth no longer has potential to reset total ADAM
Game no longer crashes when DLC is transferred to USB thumb drive and removed before gameplay
Opening Xbox LIVE Marketplace from Main Menu works every time
Sound System now supports sounds in DLC packages
DLC Menu supports Protector Trials menu features
Support for adding more subtitles in DLC without using more memory

PS3

Sound System now supports sounds in DLC packages
Suppressing partial localization when the DLC supports more languages than the disk game it's installed on top of
Support for adding more subtitles in DLC without using more memory
DLC Menu support for Protector Trials menu features
DLC packages have added protection to dlc content packages
PSN Store access added to "Downloadable Content" menu option

didn't play BioShock 2 yet.... just cuz of dat low rating stupid GI gave it which was a 8.25 which is not enough 4 me !

Does anyone know if this patch will fix the map pack glitch which is preventing me from getting the last two achievements? I know; I am an achievement w***e. Sue me.

I'm surprised these issues weren't found during Certification testing. Unless they were discovered and 2K got a waver but that seems unlikely.

I dont see why theres any reason to add the patch anyway, the game works fine for me and I still think that it is an amazing game.

I think I'm waiting for a later edition that includes the DLC in the price. I loved the first one. This one's just not been at the top of my list, but I'm working my way toward it. I think I was a little disappointed that 2 didn't seem to follow the trailer you see on the disk for 1. I was excited about a possible renaissance of rapture. After hearing it was worse off than when we left it last, my interest kind of waned.

Wow... after I just beat Bioshock 2 for the 5th time. I never really had any of these problems though, so oh well. They should release more patches for the single player... even when I installed the game to my hard drive, there were still a good bit of glitches. Every Little Sister gave me the stink eye. Anyway... great game regardless.
