President Obama Makes A Cameo In Madden NFL 11

Celebrity appearances in games are becoming more common, but here's one I never expected to see: Apparently you'll be able to meet President Obama in the next Madden game if you take your team all the way to the Super Bowl.

IGN brings word of the odd addition to the long-running football series, part of an effort to make winning the Super Bowl in-game seem more important and exciting. The new Super Bowl ceremonies will also include changing commentary based on what team wins.

Check out the full report at IGN for video of the event in-game. Even as someone who's not very into sports, it seems well-done. Now what's the code to unlock Obama as a player?

    I just reserved my copy for Madden over the weekend...tomorrow I am going to cancel my reservation. Isnt it enough we see this guy on TV EVERYDAY, yapping at the jaw? NO MADDEN for me this year.

    Wow really people are that upset, I'm sorry for the double post, but really people it's a video game, and it's something that happens, sometimes, it's not supporting him but it is freaking excellent, maybe they should get Olberman to do the commentary...

    Seriously though If I had gotten this upset about Bush being in Madden 02 after 9/11 I would have been deemed unpatriotic and communist, so here it is...

    BE QUIET YOU UNPATRIOTIC REPUBLICANS, You were the ones asking us to be blindly supportive of a President less than 4 years ago and now it's ok to not support the president, hypocrites you're all hypocrites, and if I get banned or warned I don't care you can all stop whining...a Black Man is president and let's be honest that's the real issue to you...

    I wouldn't have a problem with it, IF the character models weren't HORRIBLE! What's the matter Madden? Can't render a *** cutscene? Seriously? Do they have to use the in game engine for everything?

    So when you play franchise mode for more than 4 years in the game......do they replace the president with some random dude? Or will Obama be getting a jersey for the next 20 years in game from my team?

    Another way to make the game even more authentic, I like it.

    Anyone offended by this is taking themself way too seriously. Please go to one of the 8 million political Websites and blow off some steam there, please.

    I think Obama is a horrible president and just a gimmick, but still this is just the madden people making the game more authentic which i think is awesome, for the people boycotting this because obama is in it, wow you blind sheep calm down.

    This could easily be a kindle for some major FLAME.

    Regardless of the political issues of our country i would say its a bad idea to put anyone thats partisan in a video game, no matter what your gonna alienate someone. I am sure some immature person will actually not buy this game because its "communist".

    Just saw the whole video on IGN...That was friggin AWESOME!! I love it!!! EA did a great job of livening the game up when you win the SB, about time. To the outspoken ugly citizens of this great country....just dont post anything, go away, sheez. we dont need or want to know your political views or ugly opinions..so ugly. Its just a game right? Same as when Bill Clinton was in NBA Jam, everyone thought it was great, now its different...hmmm....
