The lights are on
During our trip to visit BioWare and check out Dragon Age II, we were afforded a few quick looks at the game in progress. Not only were we able to see how video, audio, and animation were coming along, but we also got a close look at the evolving combat gameplay. Come along with Game Informer as we take you on a quest to see the sequel to BioWare's epic RPG in its early stages.
It bears repeating that this is footage of a game super early on, and that it in no way reflects the quality of the finished product. That means you should reserve any final judgments until your holding the final version of the game in your hands.
If the video is giving you trouble, you may have better luck here.

the graphics they look awesome and the sound too
Anyone notice the Dead Space poster that made my day right there.
the graphics look pretty good for a game so early in development
looks awesome though im definatly preordering it
I like the new UI so far. Can't wait to hear more about it in the podcast!
I'm surprised they are releasing so much about a game that is in such an obviously early stage in the build. They are certainly taking the right steps to generate rumors, hype, and anticipation for the game. I hope that it doesn't look anything like this bland thing the next time they show it off. I hope it blows me away the next time I see it.
Where is the PC version is all I want to know....
Wohoo!! Very nice...battles are gonna be looking a lot better!
early 2010 was amazing with its releases in January and February but wow 2011 is looking crazy, between Dead Space and this, I feel like I am 13 years old again..ohh and dont forget SC2 in 1 hour
Looks interesting so far. New style and presentation of the game really makes it feel like a different epic from the first
Very cool, thanks!
THERE TRYING TO DO IT LIKE JADE EMPIRES SYSTEM OF COMBAT... HOPEFULLY IT TRANSLATES.
TBH I really cant get into the story of the game because of the combat. And im a rpg lover; i've played all Final fantasies turn based to real time. Mass effect blew me away and so did the whole KOTOR serie. But for some reason i just cant get into Dragon Age...maybe its because the story sounds familiar like something ive written in 5th grade lol im not kidding
Looks clean... oh how I hope they can balance visuals and performance (framerate on consoles) this time around...
did anyone notice that on the monitor where the dragon animation is being revised, there's a sticky note that says "flemeth dragon"?. hooray for the fact that she might be returning even though she's the second most powerful character in Origins and i've already had to kill her once...
This looks sweet! I like the new art style. Almost reminds me of Borderlands...
They are looking more polished than the first game for sure, if I had one issue with Origins it was that quality quirk, I understand the point to make it dark and gritty but at what point does it come to compromising the finished product?
Smoothing out the rough edges, make the blood spilling more realistic and perhaps adding more graphic finish moves would go a long way.
Morrigan? Where's Morrigan?
