Reach Limited Edition 360 Halo Sound Effects Revealed

by Annette Gonzalez on Jul 25, 2010 at 09:30 AM

Earlier this week at San-Diego Comic-Con, Bungie and Microsoft announced the Halo: Reach limited edition 360 Slim. Designed by Bungie, the 250GB bundle will feature a copy of the game, two wireless controllers and headset, and a token for a limited edition Elite armor set plus an episode of Halo Legends. The team hinted that the console will feature "custom sound effects from the Halo universe" that we got to hear today at the Halo Universe panel.

Adding the sound effects to the console was inspired by the Slim's chime when ejecting the disks. Bungie wanted to do something special for fans. When powering the console on you'll hear the signature shield charge effect, and opening the disk tray will feature a special Halo sound byte as well.
