The lights are on
Activision has announced that actor Neil Patrick Harris will be reprising his role of Spidey as he voices Amazing Spider-Man in the upcoming Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions. The actor joins Josh Keaton, Christopher Daniel Barnes, and Dan Gilvezan, actors who will be voicing the other versions of the wallcrawler--Ultimate, Noir, and 2099.
Superfans might recognize those names, but here's the deal for everyone else. Harris played Spider-Man in 2003's Spider-Man: The New Animated Series; Keaton voiced the character in 2008's The Spectacular Spider-Man; Barnes took on the role in 1994's animated Spider-Man; and Gilvezan was Spidey in 1981's Spider-Man and his Amazing Friends. In addition to those actors, Marvel legend (and Spider-Man creator) Stan Lee will be providing the voice of the game's narrator.
It's pretty cool that Activision has gathered together all these actors, no matter how relatively obscure some of them might be. I wonder if 2099 Spidey will almost have his secret lair (and secret identity) blown by Aunt May when she dusts his trophy collection. Probably not.

Cool, although I would like to point out that Aunt May was not in Spider-Man 2099. Instead, we got Mrs. O'Hara and she wouldn't think twice about shooting somebody to protect her little boys, no matter who that person may be.
Also, Miguel O'Hara of 2099 is my favorite Spider-Man. Glad he's finally getting some attention.
