Tactics Ogre Remake Coming To PSP

by Bryan Vore on Jul 22, 2010 at 06:28 AM

Square Enix is getting the old gang back together for a "reinvention" of its strategy classic. Come and see the first screens of the outrageously titled Tactics Ogre: Let Us Cling Together.

Several of the top development team members still work at Square Enix after all of these years, and they are returning to make some tweaks for the upcoming release on Sony's handheld. Hiroshi Minagawa (director), Akihiko Yoshida (character design), Yasumi Matsuno (game design), Hitoshi Sakimoto and Masaharu Iwata (composers) are all back to make their old game again.

Square Enix promises "reworked visuals and effects, a re-arranged soundtrack by the original composers, new character growth mechanics, and a new Wheel of Fortune system that adds even more replay value to the game."

Tactics Ogre: Let Us Cling Together doesn't have a release date yet, but gaming site andriasang has posted a gallery of several comparison shots of the original game and the new PSP edition.
