Dead Space: Ignition Revealed
The prelude to Dead Space 2 was shown at EA's press conference today. It'll be coming this fall for Xbox Live Arcade and PlayStation Network.
Ignition is not a game in a traditional sense. It's more of a moving graphic novel with minigames added in. In the demo, male and female leads obviously have some kind of past together and the guy is asked to fix some kind of terminal.
Here we saw a demo of the Trace Route minigame (other minigames include Hardware Crack and System Override). It's basically a neon top-down race from the left side of the screen to the right to get to the AI core or something. There are boosts along the way and you can lay traps for other racers that will do things like reverse their controls.
There will be four different endings to Ignition that will lead into Dead Space 2 in early 2011. You'll also be able to unlock a new suit for Isaac that can only be found in Ignition. Check out the screens below.
