Nintendo Returns To Comic-Con, Brings Playable Metroid Demo

by Meagan Marie on Jul 19, 2010 at 05:00 AM

More good news if you are heading out to the annual San Diego Comic Convention this week. Nintendo just announced that they will be returning to the show after a four-year hiatus. Perhaps recognizing the intrinsic value of the convention – which has now branched to encompass all forms of popular culture – Nintendo will be on hand to show off two of their summer titles.

Make your way to the Nintendo booth and you'll have the chance to play a hands-on demo of Dragon Quest IX. The game released earlier this month, so if you are still on the fence about whether to pick it up, here’s your chance to decide for yourself. If you already own the game, be sure to bring it and your Nintendo DS along, and you will be give access to an exclusive downloadable treasure map named Mortmor. This will be the first time the map has been available in the States.

Metroid: Other M be playable on the show floor, and launches August 31.

Be sure to hit up the Nintendo booth (#2944) if you want to get your hands on either of these games.
