Deus Ex Book Coming In 2011

by Jeff Cork on Jul 12, 2010 at 10:30 AM

Deus Ex's conspiracy-filled world is hitting the printed page. Del Rey Books has announced that it will be publishing a novel set in the Deus Ex universe. The book, Deus Ex: The Icarus Effect, centers on Secret Service agent Anna Kelso and spec-ops soldier Ben Saxon as they find answers that they may or may not have been looking for. Actual plot elements are still hush hush, though Andre Vu, Deus Ex's marketing manager, says that characters and elements from the novel will overlap with some of those from the upcoming Deus Ex: Human Revolution game.

The book is being written by James Swallow, a veteran sci-fi scribe whose past work has involved Doctor Who, Warhammer 40,000, Stargate, and Star Trek. He's also worked on games such as Killzone 2, Maelstrom, and Star Trek Invasion. The book should be hitting shelves in Europe and North America sometime in 2011.
