Weekend Warrior 07/09/10

by Annette Gonzalez on Jul 09, 2010 at 03:00 PM

What are we playing this weekend? If we told you it'd ruin the surprise! Read the post then head over to the comments section to tell us your weekend plans.

Reiner: Paintball. Paintball. Paintball. Recovery.

Tim: I’m going camping this weekend. This can be the bane of many gamers, but I’m going equipped with my DS. In it, I’ll have Chrono Trigger and Pokemon FireRed Version. Maybe a little Donkey Kong Country and Mario 64, too. When I get back I’m going to try and gather as many bonus green stars in Super Mario Galaxy as I can. I’m enjoying the hell out of that game. Also, I tried some of Blacklight: Tango Down last night, and that game is fun enough to keep experimenting with, so that might also happen.

Annette: Red Dead and Dead Space. Lots of games with "Dead" in the title. Red Dead Space. Imagine what that game would be like!? That's my weekend. The end.

Jeff M: After powering through InFamous over last week’s extended weekend, I have the modest goal of finishing up Red Dead (I’m not even sure I’ll get that done thanks to stupid house work – being a grownup sucks!). I might also play a little more of BC 2’s Onslaught mode, should I run into my fellow squad mates online this weekend (even though Reiner threw me under the bus with his slanted portrayal of my performance in his live blog).

Jeff A: Heading up to the cabin this weekend and plan to make some serious progress in LoZ: The Minish Cap. I also might try my hand at Chrono Trigger. Been hearing good things about that one. Before we depart, I might try to sneak in a little Red Dead, but that’s a little unlikely. Oh yeah, the Yankees appear to be on the verge of acquiring Cliff Lee just as the Twins are beginning to implode a little bit. Sometimes life’s just not fair.

Dan: Hoping for some nice weather so I can possibly go to a water park or the lake. Rain or shine, I’ll probably be finishing up Crackdown and at least starting Singularity this weekend.

Meagan: The next two weekends are my final push before I head out to SDCC, so I'll be doing quite a bit of prop-making and sewing over the next 24 hours. That lends itself to a Netflix marathon much more than some hardcore gaming. Still, I'm going to try my best to polish off Alan Wake so I can finally hand it off to Sean. Sorry Sean!

That's it for us. What are you up to this weekend?
