Ratchet And Clank Coming To Comics This September

A new Ratchet and Clank game didn't debut at this year's Electronic Entertainment Expo like many people (including myself) thought it would, but that doesn't mean fans have nothing to look forward to this year. Wildstorm Comics is bringing this galactic duo to comic books on September 8. Writer T.J. Fixman and artist Adam Archer are collaborating on a new story that will span six issues.

In this tale, Galactic President Qwark calls upon Ratchet and Clank to look into a universe-spanning mystery. New foe Artemis Zogg is stealing planets. What is he doing with them? What of their inhabitants? Wildstorm doesn't hold back in saying that Artemis is Ratchet's "most capable adversary to date." I know most video game comics fare as well as video game movies, but I'm a sucker for them. I can't wait to see how this story pans out.

  • YAY ! I'm a sucker for them also.

  • Sweet this comes out on my birthday!!!!

  • It's Ratchet and Clank so I can see how a comic could actually turn out really well.

  • Hopefully it'll be less action like other Video Game comics, and more humor.

Ratchet and Clank's humor is awesome, and having Quark in there is a BIG plus for me.

Hopefully I can get my hands on the comics somewhere.

  • Sweet! Ratchet and Clank is my favorite series so I really hope they don't mess this up. Also, it would be awesome if the comics were sold on the playstation store.

  • Thats kinda cool - I dig that style. Although I'm personally disappointed. Sony Pictures HAS an animation division, yet they refuse to do a Ratchet & Clank animated flick. Those characters and that universe is IDEAL for that medium, and Sony owns the franchise, so they'd have access to anything they'd need. Instead, they do...Open Season? And Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs...okay, that wasn't bad at all. But seriously Sony, do a *** Ratchet or Sly movie. Start leveraging your gaming properties where it would be smart with your other divisions. A Ratchet comic is cool, definitely, but a little out of left field if you ask me. Do something cool with your film division - I hope the Uncharted film is the first of those sort of ventures for you guys.

  • Yes! More Ratchet and Clank! I was hoping for Insomniac to release news about the next one, but this will hold me over.

  • wow! now im interested xD

  • hmm i may check it out. always loved the R&C games.

  • if the interior art is better i'll pick it up, that is if i have the cash.. did the math and i have plenty. Yeah!
  • this ought to be worth it

  • Hmm...   This MIGHT very-well hold-me-over until the next Ratchet & Clank video-game is released...

  • The art is cool but I have mixed feelings about this.

  • third that

  • Sounds awesome.  I'd  love to get these.

  • I love Ratchet & Clank.  I'll probably check this out if the story is good.

  • Could turn out very well.

  • I didn't care much for the game, but the artwork is very good none the doubt!

  • I've never been into comics but this is just too cool to pass up. I'll definitely be hitting the local comic book store when this is released.
