Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker Mechs Stomp Faces In September

by Andrew Reiner on Jul 07, 2010 at 07:45 AM

I find it a bit odd that Square Enix is making action figures based on Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker, but if it means that Big Boss replaces a character like Hope in the next Final Fantasy, I'm all for this unlikely partnership. Last week, I foolishly told you that the Play Arts Kai Big Boss figure was hitting store shelves before I could get in an order for myself. The figure is now sold out. Thanks, gang. Square Enix's line of Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker continues this September with three of the games four mech bosses. And yes, I already have my pre-order in.

Cocoon is oddly missing from this series of toys, but Pupa, Chrysalis, and Peace Walker look better than they do in the game (sorry, the PSP texture work isn't this good). The beautiful detailing comes at a price; each of these figures runs between $50 and $60.
