Castlevania: Harmony of Despair is one of XBLA's main Summer of Arcade titles, and here's some new screens and details to get you excited.

The game will come out on August 4 for 1,200 Microsoft Points, and it adds multiplayer modes to the already sweet, 2D side-scrolling Castlevania goodness you've come to love through the years. Take a look at the new screens below, and check out our hands-on impressions from E3 here.

Multiplayer 2D Side-scroller Castlvania? That looks awesome. To baad it's only coming to XBLA, here's hoping Konami changes their mind and makes it multiplatform.

Looks great, I am excited for this is my first Castlevania game that I might get.

Hopefully it is good, multiplayer I'm not to concerned about but a nice add-on none the less.

I'm concerned that if its just a co-op time attack / survivor multiplayer it might get old, if theres an actual like co-op story mode I'd be more comfortable. Either way its co-op 2D castlevania and that deserves a buy on that alone.

Wow... I was worried XBLA would never get a Castlevania game, especially one that looks as impressive as this... God! There's so much good content this summer, I don't think I'll be able to afford it all.

There is a lot of vivid detail, especially in the background of these pictures. I haven't played a Castlevania game though so I have no idea what is going on.
