The lights are on
Raven Software's Singularity isn't getting the buzz it deserves. Along with Mass Effect 2, Alan Wake, and Red Dead: Redemption, Singularity is one of 2010's most memorable games. I don't often force games upon people, but you really do owe it to yourself to play it.
Raven Software's blog is detailing the creation of this fascinating game through developer diaries. Different members from the team are walking through key sections of the game, such as animating age-able objects. Most of these sections dive deep into the development process, and point out the struggles and discoveries made along the way. Videos and behind-the-scenes looks are included. This game is on my list for must get.
This was a great stupid fun shooter. And I mean that in the best way possible. Anyone who enjoys action games in general should really play it. It does not reinvent the wheel, it just gives you a polished, smooth and fun action thrill ride through and through.
It also has the single best little easter egg I have ever seen in a game that made me hit the ceiling.
I'd love to get this game to try it out, but is it worth it when I still have to buy Alan Wake, Heavy Rain, Super Mario Galaxy 2, ModNation Racers, and Just Cause 2, plus the maybe buys of Transformers: War for Cybertron, Split/Second, and Bayonetta? Not to mention my massive backlog of games I still need to beat?? Ugh
I've been curious about this game for awhile and man this turned exactly where I wanted the devs to make it as. Great job Raven, If only more saw your potential...
Hopefully a sequel is in order if it does well. Make it longer. Disintegrating ppl is hella fun.
This game is GREAT.
