Red Faction Coming To XBLA/PSN Before Armageddon
Plenty of folks are excited to once again wreak havoc on Mars with Red Faction: Armageddon, but more Martian mayhem is coming before its March 2011 release window. THQ confirmed that a downloadable Red Faction arcade game hitting several months before the new console game.
"There's going to be a Red Faction Arcade game that ships about three or four months before Armageddon,” THQ’s vp of core games, Danny Bilson, told CVG. “What's interesting is that we will sell it to the fans, it will have content you can download that is TV show-related, it will build up to the new game and also we can use it to drive pre-orders, too; we can give codes and aspects of it, we can give the whole thing away."
Bilson also said that more of these “multi-faceted mini-games” will be releasing for Saints Row and other major THQ brands. What’s more, a Red Faction comic book is on the horizon, too. Because, ya know, the world needs more comic books based on video games.
