LucasArts Details Monkey Island 2 Preorder Incentive
LucasArts’ retooled adventure classic Monkey Island Special Edition 2: LeChuck’s Revenge will be available to download early next month. If you’ve yet to pick up its predecessor, however, you are in luck. LucasArts announced today that anyone who pre-orders Monkey Island 2 Special Edition via Steam will receive a copy of The Secret of Monkey Island Special Edition for free. Users can either keep the game for themselves or gift it to another Steam user.
Like the special edition of Secret of Monkey Island, LeChuck’s Revenge includes graphical updates that allow the player to switch between classic and HD visuals. In addition, a more comprehensive hint system has been added, as has voiceover work and even analog control compatibility for console versions.
Monkey Island Special Edition 2: LeChuck’s Revenge will be available to download starting July 7.
