The lights are on
Legendary Nintendo developer Shigeru Miyamoto was kind enough to grant Game Informer a couple minutes of his time after the Nintendo press conference, and we asked him some questions about the 3DS. Take a look at our interview below.

Some of the Wii games looked good but... the 3DS was easily better than everything else.
Wow, that must of been something to sit down and talk to Miyamoto!
Interesting stuff, and awesome shirt Dan.
Yup, the Starfox 64 remake confirmation is on Nintendo.com, and suprislingly, an OoT remake was there too, for a minute.
The 3DS Sounds pretty cool, hopefully it delivers. And where is the Live GI Show?
Starfox? I'm sold.
Awesome interview, thanks for all the coverage! I'm jealous that you got to meet Miyamoto, Dan!
Did the 3DS get a graphic overhaul? I looked at some of the screens and they look better than gamecube and about as good as Wii graphics. Which is really impressive for a handheld system. By the looks of it, this is a must buy so far.
Either way just wondering, did it get a graphic overhaul from the original DS's?
While you're at it, go track down Tetsuya Nomura and Shinji Hashimoto and ask them for some Versus news.
So it sounds like the 3DS is completely functional, and they're using classic N64 games to demo it extensively.
Give me a release date, port those classics, and I'm as good as sold.

A 3D Nintendo DS, newly redesigned and sleeker consoles with motion control for BOTH XBox and Playstation...it's like a new console generation, creeping up out of nowhere. I wasn't really interested in any of these befoe E3, but I'm thinking that by Christmas 2011 I'll end up getting them all.
Alright, would you guys play the friggin' thing and give us some impressions of the tech already?
I say the 3DS has possibilities, but we've seen many promises from Nintendo broken. Such as the whole Wii fiasco.
I think I'm pretty much already sold on the 3DS, I can't wait for it's release. If it's really true that there is going to be a Starfox 64 remake AND an OoT remake, then consider me a guaranteed buyer!
The 3DS is shaping up to be amazing.
I don't understand why it's such a selling point that they're putting remakes of old games on here, even if they're classics. Not to be hating but, wouldn't it be better to make and showcase completely new games? And what happened to Pikmin?
Regardless, Nintendo had the best conference by far, and I tend to lean towards Sony everything.
