Metal Gear Solid 3 Coming to 3DS
At Nintendo's press conference, Satoru Iwata revealed that Hideo Kojima and Metal Gear Solid is on board for the 3DS. After the conference, we had a chance to see what form the series will take: an adaptation of Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater.
Konami announced the full title of the game as Metal Gear Solid: Snake Eater 3D "The Naked Sample." That's quite a mouthful, but even if the name is strange, the gameplay will be familiar. The title appears to be a modified port of the original, but with 3D effects enhancing the depth of the jungle.
We were hoping that Kojima Productions' contribution to the 3DS lineup would be an original entry in the series, but considering how awesome Snake Eater is, it's difficult to complain.
