Kevin Butler Loves Gaming, Makes Fun Of Kinect

by Annette Gonzalez on Jun 15, 2010 at 10:25 AM

Kevin Butler is a star. He's one of Sony's most recognizable faces next  to Sackboy. His mug greets us all as we enter the Los Angeles Convention Center every morning via a giant poster suspended above the entrance. As soon as he stepped out on Sony's stage during the briefing this afternoon, the crowd gave him quite the warm welcome, with one person going so far in saying "I love you, Kevin!". He went on to do what he does best. Entertain.

Of course he kicks off his segment by taking a stab at Kinect's Cirque du Soleil event by saying: "Am I crazy or did I see 100 French acrobats dancing around the other night?" He also mentioned a sudden sale on ponchos. (Don't get the joke? Click here.)

He then goes on to talk about the love of gaming. It's like having a huge TV in a small, one-bedroom apartment. Like staying up until 3am to earn a Trophy isn't real, but it is. Ladies, a way to a man's heart is through a melee attack. "I love gaming," he said. Then he went on to talk business with the PlayStation Move.

"The Move brings a whole lot more everything to the table because every gamer is a true gamer, and though we may pledge fanboy allegiances, we all serve one master. One king. And his name is gaming. FOREVER MAY HE REIGN!

Epic.
