This year's Tiger Woods game might already be out, but that doesn't mean that EA Sports' golf franchise is missing out on Sony's Move motion controller.

Tiger Woods PGA Tour 11 for the PlayStation 3 (check out our review here) will get Move functionality via a patch which will be available when the motion peripheral releases. Unfortunately, Tiger 11 won't support Microsoft's Natal, as Tiger developer EA Tiburon told us that they didn't get the dev kits from Microsoft in time for this year's game.

We hit a few balls with the Move controller in Tiger 11, and it performs just as well as if you were playing Tiger on the Wii with that peripheral's WiiMotion Plus add-on. In other words, your virtual golf club corresponds very well to your real-life swing. The Move's color bulb lights up when you're properly positioned over the ball; telling you when you can begin your swing, and you can also pull the controller's trigger to take practice swings.

The development team at EA Tiburon has a lot of time before the Move comes out to make the most out of the peripheral, but it remains to be seen if playing Tiger with the controller offers anything different than playing with the Wii. Still, given how natural that feels, that's not necessarily a bad thing.
