Kinect Priced At $149.99?

by Adam Biessener on Jun 14, 2010 at 10:32 AM

Gamestop has a $149.99 price point for Microsoft's upcoming Kinect system up on its website. Following the conspicuous lack of a Kinect price announcement at Microsoft's just-concluded press conference, this wouldn't be the first time that Gamestop has mistakenly leaked a price in advance of the official statement.

A $149.99 initial price is right in line with all the pre-show rumors, which had Kinect (then Natal) coming out between $150-200.

I'm still most shocked that Microsoft didn't put a Kinect-plus-360 Slim bundle front and center, given the way the company is taking direct aim at Nintendo's market with its family-friendly messaging.
