EA Quashes Mass Effect 3/Dragon Age 2 Rumor

The recent rumors stating that Mass Effect 3 and Dragon Age 2 would be at E3 have been firmly denied by an EA representative speaking to Game Informer. GameSpot originally listed the games as appearing at EA's E3 booth on an interactive map of the show floor, but we now know that to be inaccurate.

"We can confirm that the listing of Mass Effect 3 and Dragon Age 2 was indeed an error that is currently being corrected," said an EA spokesperson.

We hate to be the bearers of bad news. Believe us, we'd love to get in on some BioWare action. Unfortunately, E3 2010 will not be the place for it.

  • i hope heyre at E3

  • i just hope they space out releasing them, i want to get deep into both

  • Too soon.

  • Quashes?

  • of course it hasn't been confirmed yet, they will be officially confirmed next week in E3 at EA's presentation by EA. lol

i kid. it's far too soon, imo, to have ME3 and DA2 to be confirmed. the games haven't been out a year yet! give me a chance to enjoy these games a bit before you announce something new! GEZZUS!

however, if it they are confirmed, i will welcome them with open arms!
  • This is fine with me.

  • I think I'd be a bit worried if they were at E3. I want both those games to have the time to soak in all the creative juices to make them great.

  • just as well as i have a ways to go in me2 and dragon age (nevermind dlc)

  • Gosh darn it

  • As long as its true its fine.  not that waiting for the games longer is good but I HATE "LEAKS" LIKE THIS its just stupid publicity that I can no longer blame on "ooops" factors...   please just be honest.

  • we might not get ME3, but its still possible that we can get word on the DLC that supposedly will bridge the gap between ME2 and ME3 (and no, i dont mean Overlord)

  • To much pre-E3 news, i want to be a little surprized when i hear what comes are coming out not what isn't.

  • I hadn't even heard about this until just now. Now that I know it could of been, though, I am sad...

Hope they take their time on DA:O, but I can't wait. I want to know what happens with Morrigan.

  • Too soon for Mass Effect 3, that doesn't mean that E3 won't have some awesome titles to choose from.

  • As a big fan of BioWare, I say... this is great news!

I'd rather they put more time into developing these great franchises.

Also, that means their booth will be almost entirely dedicated to The Old Republic! (flicks eyes over to a blank wall; stares, drools, catches said drool and remembers to click 'submit')

  • Nooooooo!

  • But what about the date of 2/11/11 in the disc copies of Dragon Age: Awakenings?  That'll be just over a year for that game to get its sequel, and it can't come soon enough.

  • Take your time Bioware. wasn't expecting any news at E3 about ME3 anyway.

  • Err who rumored that anyway? The current titles in both of those series were only released a mere 5 months ago.

  • Except for L4D2, games generally take longer than a year to make...
