Namco Bandai is bringing back one of horror gaming's most beloved franchises – a Xbox 360 and PS3 reboot of the Splatterhouse franchise, which first terrorized arcades back in 1988. This new title, due out this fall, takes its plot from the original, seeing protagonist Rick Taylor donning a Mayan Terror Mask that grants him superhuman hack n' slashing powers. On his quest to save his love, Jennifer, from the clutches of the evil Dr. West, he will chop his way through a mansion filled with gruesome, mutated beasts.

We're excited to see Splatterhouse get another chance at success, and this trailer only makes us more bloodthirsty for the game's launch.

awesome! had no idea it would have some story to it. kind of like Jim Carey's The Mask meets the Hulk! i love the art style of the graphics, too.

Sorry, the artwork is great but simply put, it just doesn't look fun, at all. Lame gameplay mechanics, won't be picking this up.

What is the deal with the cartoon looking graphics lately I don't get it. Anyway I don't know how it will play I would have try it first to know if I would like it but it looks kinda... how should I put it... Bad. But I could be wrong it mite be fun I will have to wait and see.

keeping an eye on this one, i loved the classic arcade games. I think im going to need a demo for this one though. If there smart they will give us one. Demos are the reason for my last 2 games, backbreakers and reservation of war for cybertron.

well im going to go out on a limb and say that the combat looks a little like batmans freeflow which is very awesome and that games graphics look fine tf2s raphics arent the best but no one cares cause its awesome also see super mario galaxy 2

The art style kinda reminds me of Borderlands, but whatever. This'll be an interesting one. See if it brings anything new to the table.
