okay i can tell that he has someone like a daughter in his arms. he loses that person. then he discovers a page maybe its segwaying into its a few years later and the dark presence is back. he wrote another book like the last one or someone else wrote a book and hes a character in the story.

I'm pretty sure that it's DLC related. I like how more games are using live action for their trailers.

@Enigma: Why? it's a shitty replacement for CG. All you've gotta do is hire some terrible actors and give them a nonsense script, edit in some cryptic messages and you're good to go.

Wouldn't it be nice if Microsoft were to actually put out a tv ad for this game..... Last I saw, the game wasn't doing so hot sales wise. Which is sad, because the game is awesome.

On a side note, in the picture, you can read that Alice's name is mentioned. So, I think its safe to say the woman was Alice.

Wow, this is a pretty breif video.  And yeah, that definatly looks like Alice in his arms, same blonde hair and everything.  But I seriously don't know what to make of the ending of Alan Wake, it's insane.

Hopefully "The Signal" can atleast clear some things up :)

I haven't finished Alan Awake, but I couldn't help myself.. Oh, dear lawd.

What some people don't realize is that when they use real life actos for these parts, it's because the character is directly based off them.  We see this in Alan Wake with the titlular character being an acor by the name of Ilkka Villi.  Even Desmond from the Assassin Creed series is a real life model actor.  As the game was broken into episodes like a good TV show, I think the real characters help make it feel more like a real show.

As for the Alan Wake.. all I say is Scratch

I think the real Alan Wake is still writing in the cabin "undah de lake/sea", working to maintain what he called that necessary "balance" while working to counter the shadows intrigues.  I think in the video this is the Mr. Scratch that was said would be needed and I think that's Alice in his arms.

My two cents, I think even the "real" Alan is a creation of Thomas Zane.  He wrote the clicker scene into Alan's "origin" story and he created Mr. Scratch without Alan's direction.  He and the darkness both have plots and counterplots and failsafes interweaved in the story.  Alan is Thomas' and Nightengale (sp?) is the darkness..esses...whatever.   I dunno...I still don't really understand wtf happened at the end... :)

oh, more convoluted mystery. They do know that eventually, a mystery has to get solved...right?

Hopefully the dlc will explain to me what the heck went on in Alan Wake.

Spoiler Warning: to anyone who has not realized the opening to the game aka the tutorial actually takes place after the ending of the game where alan is next to the ocean at the light house where he is trying to escape the darkness, and hopefully the signal dlc will pick up from there considering a light house is a "signal" that sailors used to navigate to port during harsh weather.

Its alan waking up. He has to get him and his girlfriend(can't remember the name) out of the forest for obvious super sinister reasons. And this is what that was. a a a. Who want's to bet that I am way off.
