The lights are on
Since its inception in1996, Pokémon has remained relevant in gaming culture. Of course the fanatic fervor has calmed since the late 90s, but I still remember a time when each new Pikachu-branded product made me feel warm and fuzzy. Pokémon Snap, a photography game for the N64 was one of those surprising spin-offs that proved to be just as much fun as the main entries. For this weeks Replay, we take a look back at the on-rails shutterbug shooter.
Join Andrew Reiner, Dan Ryckert, Phil Kollar, and I as we travel across Professor Oak's natural Pokémon habitat. We cruise the beach, a river, and even a fiery volcano in search of shots that outshine the photographs already saved onto the dusty N64 cartridge. Keep your eyes peeled for marvels like incapacitated Charmeleons, infuriatingly stupid Slowpokes, and emotionally confused Magmars. Remember to stay tuned after the Pokémon Snap Replay for an extra special, and extra educational Replay Roulette. (Be patient, the video takes a minute or two to load).

Wow, I remember renting this game and wasting so many hours trying to take pictures of all the dang pokemon.
after watching this i watched south park.
Awesome replay guys, I remember Pokemon Snap very well. It was awesome. I even recently Re-Beat when my 360 RRoDed.
The roulette was just torture, whoever picked it from the vault should be fired! XD
ahh this brings back memories
I loved Pokemon Snap...
And as everyone else said, Metapod turns into Butterfree and Kakuna turns into Beedrill...
My sister has an educational game just like that Elmo game for the Wii, except I believe it's called Jumpstart: Pet Rescue. That is the worst game that I've seen on the Wii to date.
You guys really need to work on the Pokenowledge.
any word on when this things going to get fixed so i can watch it.
im so glad the games i played as a child were not as horrible as that elmo.......thing.... ugh! never played snap but my nephew and son had a lot of fun with it. once again another great replay!

Lol, that is by far the best Replay yet. I got a great laugh out of both of those games. Thanks Gameinformer, keep 'em coming.
I absolutely loved Snap... nice replay, guys (although there wasn't much to criticize at all).
You forgot to hand in a Poliwag shot...
And I agree- all of your Pokemon knowledge combined is pretty sad... :P You should at least know first and maybe second (but at least first) generation.
Oh and I'd suggest not setting it up to completely load before letting it play, because it seems to be giving people a lot of problems (i.e. it looks like it's not loading when it is). It's already a slow player, but let it visibly play/load when people hit play.
Pokemon? I hardly know him!
