Activision’s Little League 2010 Flying Onto 360, PS3

Summer’s a great time for kids to go out and shag a few balls with their buddies. But what can they do if there’s a rain delay? Activision has added another video-game alternative, in the form of Little League World Series Baseball 2010. Unlike the Wii-centric 2008 and 2009 versions, the latest installment of the game is available for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.

“We felt it was time to finally bring the popular Little League series to gamers playing Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3,” said David Oxford of Activision Publishing. “Little League World Series Baseball 2010 is visually stunning and packed with tons of new content, while remaining an accessible pick-up-and-play game for the whole family.”

This season’s version adds new season and career modes as well as more robust online functionality, including leaderboards and the ability to post records. Past versions of the game were filled with powerups and over-the-top gameplay, and we expect more of the same for 2010. Look for it this July for $39.99.
