The lights are on
Today Rockstar launched the teaser trailer for A Short Film Made From Red Dead Redemption, a 30-minute special chronicling the story of John Marston that was created using in-game footage by The Proposition director John Hillcoat. The episode airs at midnight this Saturday, May 29 on FOX. Watch the clip after the jump.

One of the best games I have played. Very innovative.
Red Dead Redemption... plus John Hillcoat? Hell yes.
Nice! I'll be watchin' this for sure! It's cool they're using the in-game graphics and stuff for it.
The preview seems to be following the exact storyline in game - in fact, it appears to use the in game cut scenes. Are we going to be seeing the same storyline just with a couple extra parts thrown in?
I guess I'm not quite getting what this is going to be.
thats all it is,in game cut scenes.
I DVR'd it, can't wait for Saturday.
this was quite good, im liking this a lot. I need to get RDR
Red Dead Redemption was amzing. I'll definately watch this
Wow, all from game footage huh? That is super awesome, it could end up bringing in a lot of new gamers.
Yeah this is great they did this, maybe will lead to more short-films done.
Sad, the teaser is all footage from the campaign. I was hoping for some teaser to the actual episode. I won't be watching at midnight. I'll catch it after it hits the interwebs.
i actually didn't beleive my wife, i told her those are all trailers and not a show... wow am i the dumba##
It's just cutscenes from the game, "a short film made FROM Red Dead Redemption". Why do they need a new director? He pieced the scenes together into a straight 30 minute show, WOW!!! Don't kids do this on youtube with almost every game made?!
Looks weird.
This is epic, I hope more games take this direction. It's not too late Bioware *cough cough*
John Hillcoat is the man.
This was the best game I've played in very very long time and I totally can't wait for this to air.
I'm still in love with this idea. I'd like to see more than one episode.
Note: saturday, midnight, Fox. Got it. (wait, is that eastern standard time???)
:)
Man this looks awesome, too bad I'll be at my grandpas farm so I can't watch it. Thank god for DVR.
Hopefully this gets a lot of views and is good, because I would love to see more of these for future games.
