APB Intro Details San Paro’s Struggle

All Points Bulletin developer Realtime Worlds has given us a sneak peek at the title’s opening cinematic, setting the stage for the action-centric game. The video – told through quick cuts of local news coverage – shows the city of San Paro in conflict. The assassination of Mayor John Derren some twenty years ago inspired his daughter, Jane Derren, to try her hand in the political sphere. A year after her election she employs the City Security Act, allowing all citizens to arm themselves and fight back, a move that some see as legalized vigilantism. Thus the war between Criminals and Enforcers is born. Check out the video below.

APB hits retail June 29.

  • this looks like a sweet game

  • this game really looks kool

  • eh seems ok

  • this trailer isn't as cool as it actually looks. I'm not even that big of a pc player but it still looks good.

  • That sounds like a really dumb law to pass.

  • The trailer makes this game look like it has some potential, I'd probably rather see a movie though.

  • I'm sure it'll get a 10.
  • I had high hopes for this title back when it was first announced... but the details that have released since just haven't been enough to re-entice me. The subscription plans, last I heard, are utterly ridiculous... are they still doing the whole "pay by the hour" deal?

  • EDIT: Straight from the site.

You can purchase a retail version of APB either in-store or via digital download at standard retail price (SRP $49.99/£34.99/€49.99). The game includes 50 hours of action game play out of the box plus unlimited time in APB's social districts customising, socialising and trading on the marketplace.

Once your game time is up, you have flexibility to top up your action game time from as little as $6.99 (£5.59, €6.29) for an additional 20 hours, while more frequent players can switch to a 30-day unlimited package for only $9.99 (£7.99, €8.99) with discounts available for 90 and 180 days.

The retail package also contains a bonus 100 RTW points towards your next purchases.

An additional benefit to this evolutionary model is the ability for you to convert your own customisations and rewards to tradable products to give to friends or clan-mates or to place on the Marketplace to earn more RTW points (convertible to game time) or in-game cash. • That plotline is not very believable. Looks like there will be some great action though, could be fun until I have to start paying for more gametime

  • Can't wait

  • hope its hits xbox sooner or later cause my pc cant handle games like this

  • interesting plot... definitely worth checking out

  • cool

  • This game looks really cool. Don't play P.C. games though.

  • RANDOM POST!!!!!

  • Probably going to get it

  • Sound like a cheezy name for a pretty interesting game. i don't know though, it's my opinion.

  • looks like the 2nd amendment on steroids

  • i actually think the pay by the hour is petty cheaper than the other plans from different games
