BioWare Announces New Mass Effect 2 DLC

Maintaining a fresh stream of new content since the title’s January release, BioWare and EA unveiled a fifth DLC episode for Mass Effect 2 at an event in London yesterday. Titled Overlord, the new content’s plot focuses on Geth technology and experiments gone haywire, with an AI system taking over a Cerberus research facility that the player must reclaim.

Overlord will augment the game with new weaponry and an additional crew member, as well as five bonus planets to explore.

Not forfeiting an opportunity to hype up the pending release, BioWare is branding Overlord the “biggest downloadable content pack yet.”

Overlord will be available for download in June and set you back 560 Microsoft Points .

I heard/read that no new characters will be available in DLC. Sad...so sad. But I know that I'll be digging into this new DLC when it releases!

ANOTHER new character? cant they make missions without them being loyalty missions? I always felt like the 12 we had were perfect. anyways, im always psyched to play some more ME2. im currently on my first insanity run, so this should be pretty cool when it comes out!

It's a shame they can't release DLC to continue the story/bridge the gap between ME2 and ME3... I would only pick these up for future replays as it is. Dragon Age Awakening was a much smarter move by Bioware IMO

i read Kotaku's posting of the same DLC they say no new crew members. what gives GI?! somebody is lying!

UPDATE: found site saying in quote "that BioWare would not be adding any further squad mates into the game via any future DLC." and "Kasumi, then, introduced in the last PDCL, will be Mass Effect 2's final party member." so there you have it, rest assured as Bioware will not flood the already crowded Normandy with yet another squad mate.

An additional crew member... another geth perhaps? That would be great to have both squad mates as geth, hehe.

Bioware, you never cease to entertain me, just wish you'd have an update where those ghost members of your team get actual dialogue instead of just a few lines of quick stories or gossip, id rather know more about Kasumi than half of my other squad

Well this sucks. I don't have the money to get this with all the other DLC thats coming out so soon. DA:O and MTG both got DLC this month and I'm tapped out.
