New PSP Yakuza Spinoff To Feature Over 300 Minutes Of Cutscenes
Japan's beloved Yakuza series will be receiving a PSP spinoff this year, and it will feature over 300 minutes of fully-voiced cutscenes. Fans of the series won't be playing as longtime hero Kazuma Kiryu this time around, however. You'll be assuming control of Tatsuya Ukyou, a young delinquent in the streets of Japan.
While it was rumored to feature a title other than Yakuza, the Japanese name has officially been announced as Kurohyou Ryu ga Gotoku Shinshou, or Black Leopard: Ryu ga Gotoku New Chapter. Since the series is known as Ryu ga Gotoku in Japan and Yakuza in the west, it's entirely possible to see it named Black Leopard: Yakuza New Chapter if it ever comes stateside. It releases on September 22 in Japan, with no word on a US release.
