Madworld Director Joins Resident Evil 4 Director's New Studio

Japanese developer Platinum Games will be losing another piece of talent to a new studio created by one of its founders, Resident Evil 4 director Shinji Mikami.

Develop reports (via Joystiq) reports that Shigenori Nishikawa, the director of Madworld and one of the founders of Platinum Games, has left Platinum for Shinji Mikami's new studio, Tango. Nishikawa previously collaborated with Mikami on Resident Evil 4 as a designer.

Though a project has yet to be announced, Mikami has previously stated that he has big plans for the new developer, including growing it aggressively. Scoring a talented high-level dev like Nishikawa should certainly help in those plans.
