The lights are on
We’ve known for a while that the next Assassin’s Creed wouldn’t be the official third entry that ended the trilogy, but rather something of a side story that would continue the adventures of AC II’s main man Ezio. This spinoff title would take place, at least partially, in Rome and would somehow incorporate multiplayer. What we didn’t know about that game was its name. Until now. This fall you can look forward to playing Assassin’s Creed Brotherhood.
Early marketing materials for Assassin's Creed Brotherhood leaked out of GameStop earlier today. We contacted Ubisoft about the photos (below) and the company confirmed that they are real. Ubisoft also promised they’d release more information about the game early next week. This is exciting news for Assassin’s Creed fans. Stay tuned for more information about the game when it becomes available next week.

It's nothing but a money grab and a test bed. They want to see if they should incorporate MP into AC3. That's all this is. Save your money and force them to do a beta. With this you're paying them to do their own R&D
I can't wait to see how the multiplayer will be, like if it will be a 7 person Left 4 Dead basically. 7 players going through the missions, who knows we will see.
Sweet! I'm looking forward to this. Hopefully the multiplayer is nothing like the uplay version.
yesssssssssssss!!!!!!!!! I LOVE ASSASSIN'S CREED. SO THIS IS ASSASSIN'S CREED 2.5
isn't it odd how every highly anticipated game almost always has some sort of information accidentally "leaked" before it comes out?
That sash makes you look fat...
Wow. i think its the first time ive seen where a game website contacted a company and they didn't say something like "we dont comment on rumors" but actually confirmed it.
sweet staying in the the same era in rome
If it's shorter than ACII then it's not going to be really worth it, assuming it's full price. ACII was too short and then they came out with short DLC that wasn't worth the price. I agree it sort of seems more about the money and a way to test multiplayer. Not too confident MP works on a game like this. It would take away from you feeling as an assassin, can't really go around stealth with a bunch of people looking the same.
What's Night Owl from Watchmen doing in there?!
love all these games i am SO getting it
AC3 would be better news, but anything to do with this franchise is awesome.
If the game is like $40 then i will get it but $60...no way!
Woot! Can't wait to see more details
oh lordy, thats exciting. and it looks like its for PS3 and 360! somehow i figured this'd be for the psp, so a console release IS exciting. man, i really gotta buy AC2, but its still so expensive. multi-player stealth sounds super fun. also, i LOVE sequels and prequels to games with great stories. if i enjoyed a game's story, its always great to get some more character info, to see them fleshed out more, and see what else they'll do in different game-situations. i can only imagine where AC3 will take place...it just can't be modern day... it would probably be so lame...
That's awesome but if it's a spin-off story hopefully it's a bit cheaper.
