The lights are on
Sony and developer Ready at Dawn have just announced that Kratos is returning to the PSP in God of War: Ghost of Sparta. The game doesn't have a release date yet, but if predecessor Chains of Olympus is anything to go by, like Kratos himself, we're in for some no-holds-barred action.
Ghost of Sparta is set after the original God of War on PS2, and will flesh out the backstory behind Kratos' family, famous scar, tattoo, and much more as Kratos serves the gods.
Developer Ready at Dawn impressed us with its work on the PSP, and for Ghost of Sparta, it's promising "25 percent more gameplay" whatever that means. Seemingly more tangible features of the game include an improved weapons system and new magic abilities.
This also ends the mystery revolving around the God of War teaser site, as it now proudly displays Ghost of Sparta information.
Dust off those PSPs, it looks like the system still has some life in it yet.

I'm glad I kept my red GOW psp around.
@Drew: Maybe I missed something from one of the updates but from what I know you can only play the minis on your ps3, not the actual psp games. It would be the real end of the psp if you could though.
This, along with Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker and Kingdom Hearts: Birth By Sleep will finally give me a reason to pick up my PSP again.
looks awesome cant wait to get it, amazing graphics for a psp game
Wow I would like to know more
heres hoping it will be good, again
Awesome! Chains of Olympus was an excellent PSP game, Ready at Dawn did a fine job I couldn't wait to go on break at work, can't wait to can't wait again.
Considering this is a handheld game, the graphics look pretty good. Maybe the PSP still has some life left in it...
25% more gameplay? wat the hell does that mean?
ahhhhh once again sony has made another awesome game
***! This is the SECOND time we've been tricked into getting excited about a PSP God of War game! Chains of Olympus got me *this* close to getting a PSP at one time, so if this game is just as good, or, at the very least, anywhere near as epic as God of War III, I might just have to pick one up finally.
Always excited for a God of War game.
looks cool might get it
sweet... lets kick more ass....
