God Of War: Ghost Of Sparta Announced For PSP

by Matthew Kato on May 04, 2010 at 04:50 AM

Sony and developer Ready at Dawn have just announced that Kratos is returning to the PSP in God of War: Ghost of Sparta. The game doesn't have a release date yet, but if predecessor Chains of Olympus is anything to go by, like Kratos himself, we're in for some no-holds-barred action.

Ghost of Sparta is set after the original God of War on PS2, and will flesh out the backstory behind Kratos' family, famous scar, tattoo, and much more as Kratos serves the gods.

Developer Ready at Dawn impressed us with its work on the PSP, and for Ghost of Sparta, it's promising "25 percent more gameplay" whatever that means. Seemingly more tangible features of the game include an improved weapons system and new magic abilities.

This also ends the mystery revolving around the God of War teaser site, as it now proudly displays Ghost of Sparta information.

Dust off those PSPs, it looks like the system still has some life in it yet.
