Sackboy Joins ModNation Racers As Playable Character

ModNation Racers takes the "Play, Create, Share" motto inspired by LittleBigPlanet to the kart racing scene. Not only do the two games have user-created content and loads of customizing options to choose from, they both also feature Sackboy as a playable character.

According to the PlayStation Blog, players will have access to Sackboy and his LBP-inspired cardboard kart once ModNation Racers ships on May 25. Pre-ordered and early copies will have a voucher already included. Just look out for specially marked packages (see below) for the Sackboy voucher while supplies last.

Some time ago we reported on pre-order bonuses that would get early adopters a playable Nathan Drake, Ratchet, Clank, or Kratos. Check out this trailer to see these characters in action. Stick around through the end and watch Sackboy dominate the circuit.

    This is really cool. These are basically the two only games out there that let you do this kind of stuff and now they are working together... or at least going in that direction.

    I am actually really looking forward to this game. I played the beta for MNR & loved it. Also I'm a huge fan of LBP.

    That's the coolest kart I've seen.

    I hope my pre-order will get me plenty of mod and kart customizations, not just pre-made characters/karts.

    It is news like this that makes me wish I had a PS3, I would love to be able to get this game, as well as LBP.  Such creative and emergant titles!

    And yes, Sackboy does look curiously creepy XD.
