UPDATE: Mysterious Dead Space 2 Package Arrives At Game Informer

by Jeff Marchiafava on Apr 27, 2010 at 10:22 AM

Dead Space 2 may be set in the 26th century, but today we received a decidedly low-tech transmission for the game – a letter from the U.S. Postal Service. But the fact that Visceral Games sent us materials via snail mail doesn't make the envelope's contents any less intriguing. Here are some scans of what we received.

Here's a shot of the outside of the envelope. Some of it is transparent, allowing for the ghostly figure to show through:

Pulling the card out reveals that it's actually an inkblot test. You can use the comments section below to share what you see in this impromptu Rorschach Test, but the bottom line is you're crazy:

Finally, there was this note from Dr. Samara Yasmin. Take a look at the kooky message written in Unitology. If only we were friends with Tom Cruise – he could probably help us figure out what it says.

And that's it. Can any Cryptoquip fans out there crack the Unitology code?

[UPDATE]: That didn't take long. A few of our clever readers pointed out that the original Dead Space featured a rosetta stone for Unitology, and that the message translates to "The sickness is the cure! The cure is the sickness!" Kudos to Autosnap, Fareshki, and Willis for being the first readers to solve the mystery!
