Bungie debuted two premium packages for Halo: Reach this morning, both including an impressive array of goodies. The most noteworthy addition is a 10 pound Noble Team statue designed by McFarlane Toys that comes with the more expensive of the two.

Limited Edition

Game disc and manual
Game disc housed in recovered ONI “black box”
Exclusive Elite armor set for multiplayer modes
Artifact bag with Dr. Halsey’s personal journal, classified documents, and effects that detail secrets from the Halo universe

Legendary Edition

Game disc and manual
Game disc housed in recovered ONI “black box”
UNSC-themed custom packaging
Exclusive Elite armor set for multiplayer modes
Exclusive multiplayer Spartan armor effect (Flaming Helmet)

Bungie expects the Legendary Edition – which is being produced in limited quantities– to sell out quickly. Considering the enthusiasm most Halo fans harbor for the franchise, we agree. If you have your eye on the pricey package, a preorder may be necessary.

i didn't get the Halo 3 legendary because ... I actually wanted the helmet to fit me not just a table decoration... but that looks pretty sweet

I'm sure they're using the word "limited" loosely. I doubt Microsoft would limit the amount of $150 editions they'd sell. After all, that's probably the package they stand to make the most money from in terms of cost versus price.

ARGH!!!! i have to cancel some of my preorders to save up for this beautiful Legendary edition!!! i was one of the people whole bought the original Legendary edition. i have the helmet in my room as we speak... ugh... i need this.

I would get the legendary edition but I have bills to pay... lol, the 150 dollar price tag is just a tad too rich for my blood. Everything looks great but I just can't make that happen. I think the most interesting thing in each will be the artifact bag, and in particular the journal, that just looks like something I would really like to check out.

I think for me it will have to be the limited edition.

you can just preorder it now for about 10 bucks and save as little as 10 dollars a week until the game is released. the game is due out sometime in September. you have plenty of time.
