FFXIII Sells Significantly More On PS3 Than 360

by Dan Ryckert on Apr 15, 2010 at 01:33 PM

This month's NPD report is in, and it made clear which platform Final Fantasy fans preferred to play XIII on. On the 360, the game moved 493,900 units. The PS3 version, on the other hand, sold 828,200 copies. It seems that the series' fans are certainly accustomed to playing with a Dual Shock and responded in kind when making their purchasing decision. All in all, it was the best launch in Final Fantasy history, beating out XII's release which saw 896K units move off the shelves.

Interestingly, those numbers are almost perfectly reversed when it came to Bad Company 2. The military shooter sold 825,000 on the 360 and 451,200 on the Playstation 3.
