The Game Informer Staff Page: Issue #205

The Game Informer redesign was not without its casualties. As we looked to find more space in the magazine and expanded our staff starting with our Epic Mickey issue (#199), the popular editor bio page got the axe. After loads of reader email demanding its return, we're bringing editor interests, dislikes, and current favorite games in an easily digestible online format. Enjoy!

Comments
  • *** you Kato you dislike Vampire Weekend!?

  • Dan, your my hero. You are the only one that is playing Super Street Fighter IV out of the whole staff, the like of microwavable GDLK, top-tier, Pizza Bites and the dislike of P.F Changs, amaze me. ^w^

  • Finally!!! it returns!!!

  • Oh, and Nick the shrimp tacos are okay.

  • Interests: Lost, 24 finally ending, BBC2. Dislikes: That there are only 5 episodes of Lost left, not having enough money to get every game i want.

  • Honestly, this is the section of the mag I missed the most. I'd always read through the interests to find suggestions for new books, bands, or movies. However, the lack of the staff page in the mag is what forced me to join the website community. Betcha didn't plan on THAT dire consequence as a result of nixing it, didja?

  • The idea of a shrimp taco never sat right with me.  Also I'm glad to see that the editors are still playing Final Fantasy XIII and haven't just quit the game.

  • I like the connected comments from Tim and Phil on going to a restaurant XD

  • thanks for bringing it back!

  • Rykert's dislikes are borderline offensive. That border is determined by whether or not the "Rush" listed is the band or the BFBC2 game type. The band, of course, would be unforgivable.

  • lol only 2 girls tsk thats sad

  • In response to Jeff Cork, Fringe is seriously amazing. John Noble needs to start getting nominated for stuff before I riot. This episode should be interestingly awesome... www.tvfanatic.com/.../fringe-first-look-olivia-goes-musical

  • I lol'd pretty hard at Dan's beard.

Can't wait to try a Double Down.

Sorry to hear about the astma, Ben. And your shoulder, Annette (but hey, we can still play Wii Sports (minus the boxing)).

@Tim: Dry cereal is one of God's greatest gifts. Cherish it.

Can't wait until I have the computer to run Bad Company 2. By that time, though, I'm sure people will have ditched it for something else, but hey, who cares.

Dislikes: MEAGAN, FOR RUBBING THE FACT THAT SHE IS PLAYING LIMBO IN OUR FACES

Oh, and yeah the shrimp taco is pretty mediocre. But it stinks that people allergic to shellfish can't eat there now. I hope it doesn't stick around.
  • Staff

    Steven, to clarify:

I'm referring to the terrible prog rock band Rush, fronted by Geddy Lee, the worst frontman in rock history.

Rush on BFBC2 is pretty sweet.

  • Glad to see Joe finally shaved the raccoon laying on his face

  • finally somebody agrees with me that the Netflix Watch Instantly selection isn't that great!

  • Co-sign Ryckert's dislike of all things Seth Macfarlane.

His over-saturation of Fox's sunday night line-up is astounding. Really, the Cleveland show and American Dad? We lost King of the Hill for this tripe?

  • @ Dan

It's the Canada factor, Dan. You have to look at Rush as strictly a Canadian band. They're not like what we have here; they're just so... Canadian. If you look at Geddy from an unbiased, purely scientific observation standpoint, it becomes captivating to watch a Canadian try to adapt outside of its native surroundings. The music they play, the songs they sing, it's simply.... Canadian!

Same thing with The Kids in the Hall. It looks like something we watch all the time but something is renting space in the back of your mind telling you, "Why does this seem so off!?" It's the Canada factor. It's like eating cereal with soy milk, I suppose. Yeah, you can do it but, y'know, it's kinda weird.

  • Reiner is the beast

  • @ Andrew

Stream the Original A team on Netflix instead of watching the new version. Nothing beats Murdocks awesomeness. Also unless wyou have a wii it is a slom summer for games.

    @ Adam

I agree with what you said about FF13. Wait until you start fighting Odin! Kills you in 3 hits. Also get sprint or verizon their 3g/4g is waaay better than At&t

    @ Meagan

I know the Fame is the first album I have bought in years. But I still love to blast it in my car

    @ Annette

Do you have any links for live orchestrations or video game soundtracks? Hook me up.

    @ Dan

YES YES AND YES! I can't wait to see more south park. Facebook 2.0 was amazing. LBP is amazing I need to buy it since they dropped the price (finally)

    @ Tim

Thank you! I now know I can make Link in a game that reminds me of Zelda
