The lights are on
Two thoughts crossed my mind the first time I saw 3D Dot Game Heroes: this game looks a hell of a lot like The Legend of Zelda… and I need to put Link in this game immediately. Leave it up to me to boldly venture into the realm of obvious and deliver you an exclusive video of a custom-created Link hero tearing it up in Dotnia.
3D Dot Game Heroes' robust character editor allows you to put whatever you can dream up into the game. This video is a montage of my custom Link doing his thing, so please note that the events in this video aren't sequential. Additionally, the characters in the game automatically hold shields in their left hand, which I well know is traditionally Link's sword hand.
This game is just full of so much win it is almost unreal.
What's the LxWxH on how big of a character you can make? Can you go tall and slender or do they have to be short and stumpy to fit through doors and such?
Looks like I can sell my Wii now.
@Ghostpig
The maximum character dimensions are 16x16x16
You don't have to make them stocky, but Link is pretty oddly proportioned if you think about it.
Someone needs to make a Mega Man....
I'm going to make mine a companion cube.
hahahahahah Awesome!
the game looks pretty sweet!! but it looks kind of easy. did anyone else notice that?
I fully intend on recreating the entire cast of NES characters on this game. Starting with my main daimy... Top Man!
that was awesome. I want to try to make a final fantasy or dragon warrior character
@Mathew Pilkington
Most montage reels don't shine their brightest when you select portions of the game where you were being walloped. You only have the huge sword when you've got full health.
That was incredible.
Do a Kratos one next.
I'd rather see Link's sprite from the SNES or Game Boy games recreated. Not to poopoo on this - it's awesome. I just find the old NES sprite too archaic these days. Still, neat achievement!
This game dose look a lot like the Zelda game but this looks more like a Lego version of it, the game dose look quite good overall, especially the game play fro different location and areas, the boss it the game look quite easy though when u just stand there and doge the fire balls.
Ha ha very funny. Looks like the Phantom Hourglass
that would have been a good april fools video. Make people think that the next step for Zelda is a step backwards
Awesome video, too bad I dont have a PS3
Awesome!
as soon as I saw the dungeon, I realized this is 100% zelda
and it will be awesome
Ha, when I saw this headline, I thought to myself, "seriously, self, how is it that Atlus isn't getting sued over this yet?"
But it made more sense once I actually read the article.
